How I got into the doll hobby: Several years ago I saw a Japanese fansite display dolls dressed as Harry Potter characters. At the time I didn't know they're actually Super Dollfies, highly customizable resin ball-joint dolls, and that they weren't sculptured by the owner of the website. In 2003 I got interested in Volks dolls again, knowing what they are for the first time, and I mostly stayed focused on these (large scale). They made me see dolls in a new light and opened the doors to a fresh, exciting hobby. I adore my two Volks SD13 boy dolls.

Finally in early 2005, when I never thought it possible I could ever fall in love with dolls of a small scale, I found much joy in the Volks 1/6 Dollfie line (not SUPER Dollfie) and its wee bodies, especially the EB-minis, my fave of them all.

At the same time I also got interested in Takara's dolls like Jenny and her friends and most of all, Licca-chan. She is at the very top of my fave 1/6 dolls and currently the main doll I obsess over. Before 2005 it wasn't love at first sight with Takara's dolls for me. I never really gave them much thought but once I started digging up info and doing my own research, I couldn't help but notice their appeal and charm. I was hooked! Licca-chan sealed it - she was the one that stole my heart and ran away with it.

Sometime in 2005 I found out about the reproductions of 1st generation Licca made by Licca Club 67. As if obsessing over the 'modern-day' Licca wasn't enough, I had to fall hard for the older generations of her as well, including the much sought-after 1st gen repros! Aaaggh! ^^; Next to 4th gen Licca (the type we know today), 1st gen Licca is my favourite. No good news for my wallet but my heart is ever glad!
