Note: NEO Licca (  The series of NEO Liccas released includes Black Licca, Gal Licca, Punk Licca, Spy Girl Licca, Loco Licca, Gorgeous Gold Licca, Club Cats Licca, Cow Girl Licca, Retro Girl Licca, School Girl Licca and Rockin' Girl Licca. They're sporting diverse looks and some even have tan skin, or like in case of Black Licca, black skin. If you're into the simpler eye design, they're a nice, cheaper alternative to vintage 1st gen Liccas. Except for one blond girl (Retro Girl) and the Punk one with orange hair, all the NEOs are dark-haired. The body proportions are like normal Licca's except for arms and feet. The arms are about 1 cm (half an inch) longer, as are the feet. It's a slight change that makes a LOT of difference to a Licca fan!
The NEOs are big wishlist dolls of mine and I'm really into darker ones like Rockin' Girl, Black Licca and Gal Licca. They make some of the best-looking models of doll fashion, they carry bold colors well and 70's/retro looks look gorgeous on them (especially on the dark-skinned NEOs). The hair is often long and is fun to style. Their heads are bigger than normal Licca's (they're longer). I've dressed my NEO Rockin' Girl Licca into a colorful outfit that brings out her skintone. She's wearing a simple pink pearl necklace I've made for her. There are two hairstyles I've tried; the hair is down with only a bit pinned to the side with a little flower clip and the other is a 2 ponytail style that keeps the hair away from the face. She's one of my most beloved Liccas and my fave of all the NEOs. I love the way she "responds" to the camera. There are dolls that just draw the lens in an almost magical way. That's why I think she looks great showing off her fashions. You'll love dressing her up! Licca fashion will fit her except for the pants and long sleeves, of course. Some of the NEOs also have gorgeous eyeliner and pink lipstick that looks great on very tan skin. This NEO has natural make-up and warm brown eyes but it's the coolest choice because of the chocolate-y color of the hair. A great-looking, concert-going gal she is. Yay for NEO Rockin' Girl Licca! |
) is taller than normal Licca, has the headmold of 1st generation Licca from the 60's and is basically Licca in teenager form. Her height is 24 cm / 9.5''. The
production of NEOs isn't as vast as that of normal Licca we're familiar with. It's like a special series. Takara introduced it in 2000 - 2001 and the original price for one NEO Licca was 4980 Yen ($42).
Rockin' Girl Licca was one of the first NEOs that appeared. She has long, straight brown hair, brown eyes and tan skin, and is a bit harder to get than
the later NEOs. Her outfit consists of an orange sparkly tee, black leather pants, Indian/Boho style purse, dangling Boho belt and brown sandals. There's also a beige
headband.
