Note: Momoko was another one of those dolls that drew me in at a second glance. She did not appeal to me right away and before production was taken over by Sekiguchi, the limited numbers she was released in before made me doubt I'll ever get one.

Then the Momoko bug bit me and I was sold. If I could just *pick* one from the selection but nope, for the longest time it was very hard to decide! I managed to narrow it down to two Momokos and since one of them was yet to be released (we've only been given 'teaser' pics so far), I went for Go for Victory, this blond Momoko in a cheerleader outfit. She's quite possibly the most Western-looking of them all, with long blond hair tied in a ponytail with a yellow ribbon, light blue eyes and orange/light red lips. The fact that she looks like me helped me decide, too. ^_^

Eye detail I got her nude (don't need her outfit, anyway) for a good price on Yahoo!Japan shortly after I won my first Blythe. Like Blythe, Momoko doll has amazing, unique fashion and a big fanbase, and is a beautiful doll to pose and photograph. How can you not love her when she can be a kimono-wearing lady, a tomboy-ish schoolgirl or a gentle sweetie going for a walk in town with her puppy, or, well, anything you want her to be? Sexy or innocent, outgoing or shy, the selection of Momokos is wide.

Momokos are 27 cm (10.6 inch) tall and their movable joints give them great poseability. The poses can be very realistic-looking and the clothing and shoes made for Momoko are beautifully detailed. As the official site states, Momoko is "a real-fashion doll that reflects the trends of today". While a lot of them are very Asian-looking, there are also dolls that come from a fantasy or fairytale background and some also have more Western facial features.
