Note: Ginza Licca has been another wishlist Licca of mine since her release in 2006. Not only was she a must-have doll to me, she was among the TOP 5 Liccas I wished to own! There are quite a few Liccas on my wishlist at any given time, some top priority ones and some pretty ones that I really like but wouldn't exactly "cry" if I never got them. Ginza Licca wasn't in the latter category. She was among my top faves and now that I have her, new Liccas will take her place on the 'high priority' wishlist. ^_^

I would go as far as say Ginza Licca's in the very TOP 3 category, if indeed not the most favourite Licca doll in my collection. There are several reasons for this, such as her haircolor (I love black-haired Liccas) and hairstyle where the hair is so nicely cut and "gelled" a bit that it holds the form perfectly. *laugh* It's not sticky, it's actually hard to the touch and captures her face in a cute way.

The hairstyle's already perfect as it is, you don't need to brush it, style it or rearrange it when it gets messy. Unless you're handling her very roughly, Ginza Licca's hair should stay in a beautiful shape for a long time. Great extra brownie points there as far as I'm concerned! I also like the cut of the bangs and the length of the paige cut. All of these things combined make Ginza Licca very desirable in my eyes.

The popular Ginza, located in Tokyo, is the first western style shopping district in Japan, modeled somewhat after the avenues you'd find in London and Paris. It's also the largest commercial area in the country. Ginza Licca is wearing an outfit very much like the ones worn by classy Japanese ladies in the 1930's when Ginza was the place to go to in Tokyo if you wanted to drink in the latest fashion trends and sophisticated looks for both men and women. So, this is where the name 'Ginza Licca' comes from. :)

Eye detail The outfit she comes with is gorgeous (see above for a picture of the back of her box, she's wearing it there). I usually don't go for the default outfits at all because I like to redress my dolls anyway but with Ginza Licca I'm completely loving the clothes, too. The 'satin' dress, gloves and hat are of an antique pink color. The hat has a cute ribbon attached to it with a dangling bead at the end! Extras also include silver see-through socks and a simple pink purse. The shoes are black.
The sweet color of the dress compliments her gentle make-up, especially the soft pink lipstick and the slightest touch of cheek blush. I'm a sucker for this lip color on Liccas, I think it suits them far better than the usual hot pink! She has soft pink eyeshadow, too. I LOVE Liccas with eyeshadow.

Since the make-up colors were toned down, so to speak, Ginza Licca's looks immediately remind me of a natural beauty. For some reason they also make her look older depending on the outfits she is wearing. If you're looking for a Licca that would look good in sophisticated and lady-like outfits, even business suits, hostess uniforms and the like, Ginza Licca is a good choice. She has a presence of a lady. The well-kept hairstyle helps the "grown-up" look. Believe me, she's worth every penny! Original price was 10,000 Yen (cca. $85) I think, like of many other Licca limiteds.
