I've started building a dollhouse for my dollies in Autumn 2005 and because I'm working on all the rooms at the same time, they're being done at the same pace and therefore none of them is 100% finished. I never planned on finishing one and then going on with the next because I prefer to have a more relaxed plan. ^^ I just work on them whenever I have the time or when I buy a new piece of 1/6 furniture or little bits and pieces to add. There's no deadline.

I'm sharing progress pics even though nothing is completely finished. There are 4 "floors" altogether built in simple bookcase shelves. For starters I will upload pics of the room that is most finished and then move on to another floor. All the rooms are in 1/6 scale and the height of each is 40 cm (almost 16 inches). They're for Barbie-sized dolls like the Volks Dollfie line, Momoko, Blythe, vintage Barbie and Sindy, etc, or a bit smaller dolls like Licca, vintage Skipper, Volks EB-mini, etc.

The 4 floors are:

- ground floor: Cafe
- 1st floor: Living Room
- 2nd floor: Kids room
- 3rd floor: Bathroom and Kitchen (two smaller rooms)

PART 1: Kids room We'll start with the kids room, the most colorful part of the house. Includes spraypanted furniture, funky disco dot wallpaper, little toys, posters, comics, cosmetics and other fun bits. This is the room I first had in mind when I started working on the dollhouse.

PART 2: Living room The place where dolls chill and hang out. Has retro-inspired and simple furniture in bright colors, lots of shelves for little toys and belongings, a computer, sewing machine, tv, writing table, etc. Is the "busiest" of all the rooms.
